Student Scholarship Week 2024
The 9th Annual Scholarship Week: Celebrating the Research, Creative, and Service Accomplishments of MU Students takes place Monday through Sunday, April 15–21, 2024.
Student Scholarship Week includes week-long activities that showcase and celebrate students’ individual academic work inside and outside of the classroom as well as highlights faculty-student collaboration, across the University.
Students’ scholarly contributions in research, writing, service learning, clinical experiences (i.e., study abroad, internships), musical and theater productions, art exhibits, student development and leadership, student clubs etc. are all part of this event.  Office of the President Welcome to the 2024 Student Scholarship Week at Monmouth University Dear Participants and Guests: On behalf of the entire Monmouth University community, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our 2024 Student Scholarship Week, a dynamic showcase of the academic and creative endeavors of our student body. This week-long event, set against the backdrop of our vibrant campus, promises to engage, enlighten, and inspire through a series of presentations, performances, and exhibitions that highlight the depth and breadth of our students’ scholarship and research. From the Hawk Talks that kick off our week to the diverse range of activities spanning disciplines from the sciences to the arts, every session is a testament to the curiosity, dedication, and excellence that define the Monmouth University student experience. Our program includes not only traditional academic presentations but also innovative exhibitions and performances, reflecting the diverse talents and interests of our student community. We are proud to host a variety of sessions that invite collaboration, discussion, and discovery, facilitated by our dedicated faculty and the enthusiastic participation of students. This year, the inclusion of virtual exhibitions and online discussions ensures that our community’s scholarly dialogue reaches beyond campus boundaries, inviting participation from afar. As you peruse the research abstracts in the Scholarship Week program and participate in the events of the week, I encourage you to engage fully with the ideas and creativity on display. The work of these students represents their individual academic journeys and also the larger tapestry of knowledge and culture at Monmouth. The student research presentations and projects are not just assignments completed, but stepping stones toward their future contributions to our society and world. I am grateful to our faculty and staff who have helped guide and support our students’ scholarly ambitions. I am likewise grateful to our cross-disciplinary steering committee whose collaborative efforts have helped to develop an outstanding roster of programs and activities for Scholarship Week 2024 Thank you for joining us in celebrating the achievements of our students. The Hawk Talks event will highlight the rich diversity of events offered during Student Scholarship Week by including student work from all academic disciplines, including graduate and undergraduate students, in one premier interdisciplinary event. The event format will showcase student work through poster presentations and eight-minute TED-talk style presentations. Refreshments will be served.
