Dusty Springfield, Dusty in Memphis

It’s just like book club but with albums! With new advances in technology, the way we consume music through our devices, apps and on demand streaming services like Pandora, Spotify and iTunes is making the idea of the “album” as an art form extinct. Get together with other music enthusiasts on Tuesday nights to discuss some of the greatest records of all-time! Listen to the album beforehand and then come prepared to discuss. This event will feature Dusty Springfield, Dusty in Memphis.

Free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Andrew Martin -Visiting Writer

The fiction writer Andrew Martin is coming to campus for our final Visiting Writers Series event of the semester. He is the author of the novel Early Work, a New York Times Notable book, the story collection Cool for America, and the forthcoming novel Down Time. His work appears regularly in The Paris Review, The New York Review of Books, and Harper’s, and his stories and essays have also been published recently in The Atlantic, The Yale Review, McSweeney’s, The New York Times Book Review, and elsewhere.
