This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. To serve in AmeriCorps you must be a U.S. citizenU.S. national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States. Please do not inquire if you do not meet these requirements.

Are you interested in starting your AmeriCorps service on September 1st, 2026? Consider serving with Notre Dame Mission Volunteers with the Siena Youth Center in Redwood City, CA! Gain valuable experience while serving your community! 

Notre Dame Mission Volunteers develops leaders through education and compassionate service that sparks confidence to learn and agency to transform disenfranchised communities. NDMV Volunteers provide direct in-person service at schools, community centers and non-profits. The Student Engagement Fellow will increase academic engagement among K12 students.

Responsibilities include: assist students with their academic needs including homework help and one-on-one instruction; plan, organize and implement a weekly enrichment class for youth; and support and attend weekend field trips when needed.

Benefits of AmeriCorps service

The benefits of service include:

· $1,512 Monthly Living allowance during service.

· $3,697.5 Segal Education Award upon successful completion of service.

· Health care benefits

· Possible forbearance or deferment of qualified student loans.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, national or lawful permanent resident at least 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED. Applicants should have an interest in working with youth in an educational setting. Applicant must have a moderate fluency in Spanish.
