About Ivy Brothers:
Ivy Brothers is a leading college admissions agency that provides expert guidance to help students achieve their dream of attending top universities.

We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Marketing Intern to enhance our presence on TikTok and Instagram. We are no stranger to these platforms: we have tens of millions of combined views, and are looking for an intern to help us further expand. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing brand and make an impact in the education and admissions industry.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Develop engaging, on-brand content for TikTok and Instagram, including Reels, Stories, and feed posts.
  • Leverage trending sounds, memes, and hashtags to create viral content.
  • Assist in designing graphics, editing videos, and creating captions that drive engagement using Canva.

Social Media Strategy

  • Collaborate with the team to plan and execute campaigns aligned with Ivy Brothers’ voice and mission.
  • Research trends and competitor strategies to maintain relevance and innovate content.
  • Track key performance metrics and adjust strategies for continuous improvement.

Community Engagement

  • Interact with followers by responding to comments, questions, and direct messages.
  • Foster a positive and engaging community around Ivy Brothers’ brand.

Leadership Opportunities

  • We are looking to promote solid performers to leadership positions within the marketing intern team, to help manage other interns.

Qualifications

  • Passion for Social Media: Proficient in TikTok and Instagram, with a strong understanding of their features, trends, and algorithms.
  • Creativity: Ability to develop compelling, innovative content ideas. We try to stray away from cookie cutter content. Instead, we make content that gives people real, high-level and relevant insights, hot takes, and content that makes people want to engage.
  • Video Editing Skills: Familiarity with editing tools like CapCut.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent writing and storytelling skills to craft engaging captions and campaigns.
  • Analytical Mindset: Basic understanding of social media analytics and ability to track performance metrics.
  • Self-Motivated: Proactive and able to work independently while meeting deadlines. We expect a certain number of TikToks to be posted each week.

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Experience managing social media accounts (personal or professional).
  • Background in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Interest in education, college admissions, or content related to student life.

Benefits

  • Gain hands-on experience in social media marketing for a growing brand.
  • Gain knowledge of how to make content that will actually go viral (not just content that looks nice).
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate your schedule.
  • Opportunity to showcase creativity and grow a portfolio of work.
  • Insight into college admissions strategies and the chance to make a difference in students’ lives.
  • Letter of recommendation and potential for future opportunities with Ivy Brothers.
