Position Description: The Social Media & AV Coordinator will oversee the social media platforms for their specific Next Step site. You will create engaging content, optimize the channels, and foster community interaction. By developing and executing social media strategies, you’ll drive engagement with local partnerships, Next Step participants, and potential future interns. You will ensure all content aligns with Next Step’s mission and culture. You will post regularly on all accounts and engage with comments in a Christ-like manner. Additionally, you are responsible for all sound, lighting, and video presentations during the nightly worship. You will run ProPresenter, as well as manage the lights, sound, and any other creative elements of the evening program. You will also have ministry opportunities during the day as you work alongside students on work projects. You will see students’ lives changed as they grow into a deeper understanding of God through serving in the community during the day and experiencing powerful programming each night. Training and support are provided for all aspects of the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Convey Next Step’s mission through exciting content creation
  • Regular posts on Next Step site instagram account
  • Post content to foster engagement w/ participants, partnerships, & interns
  • Effectively run all ProPresenter presentations for evening programing
  • Responsible for mixing sound and operating the soundboard
  • Facilitate and oversee all transitions in programming and the overall flow of nightly worship
  • Lead and participate alongside students at work projects daily
  • Contribute as a team player in all aspects of mission trip facilitation
  • Participate in daily devotionals and evening programming
     

Qualifications:

  • Must be a believer in Jesus Christ and hold to Next Step’s Statement of Faith
  • Previous missions experience preferred, but not required
  • Previous social media experience preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with ProPresenter preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with sound equipment and Mac computers preferred, but not required
