Physician Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will work closely with our orthopedic surgeons in providing comprehensive care to patients with various orthopedic conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic care. If you are passionate about patient care, have a keen eye for detail, and are able to make a quick, informed decisions, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive orthopedic care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Perform physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures.
  • Assist physicians during orthopedic procedures such as total knee arthroplasties and total hip arthroplasties.
  • Educate patients and their families on orthopedic care and treatment options.
  • Monitor and ensure the effective delivery of therapy and medication to patients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in orthopedics and related medical fields.

Skills

  • Strong clinical skills in patient assessment and diagnosis.
  • Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and interpretation.
  • Knowledge of critical care protocols and procedures.
  • Understanding of various ailments affecting diverse populations.
  • Excellent data collection and analytical skills for patient management.
  • Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Qualifications

1. A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution

2. Current certification as a PA

3. Proven experience in orthopedic care

4. Proficiency in interpreting X-rays, MRI’s and CT scans

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and medical staff

6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

7. Strong commitment to patient care and a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of patients

8. Active state licensure and DEA registration

9. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
