The Asia Group, LLC is now accepting applications for an Operations Assistant to join our Washington, DC office starting no later than Friday, May 15.

The Asia Group is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and responsible professional to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for all greeting and clerical duties at the front desk of our office to include operational support across the organization. Your role will be vital as you will be the first person our visitors meet when they visit The Asia Group headquarters in Washington, DC. Your primary goal will be to make visitors feel comfortable and informed while in our office. A successful candidate will have a pleasant personality, a can-do attitude, excellent attention to detail, and be timely and dependable.

Job Requirements

  • Proven work experience in an administrative, receptionist, operations, hospitality, or similar role (experience in professional services or consulting a plus).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Highly communicative, responsive and proactive problem-solver.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Canva, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (printers, scanners, conferencing tools).
  • Professional attitude and customer service mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • High school diploma or GED required, associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Office & Facility Management

  • Regularly restock and maintain common office spaces, including kitchens and conference rooms order and maintain inventory.
  • File work orders and coordinate with cleaning vendors to uphold the office’s aesthetic and cleanliness standards.
  • Provide general administrative support for operations, HR, IT, and leadership as assigned.
  • Assist with laptop configuration, software setup, and first-troubleshooting for new employees and conference room systems.
  • Support various scheduling requests for broader firm initiatives and ad hoc portfolios.

Office Reception & Guest Services

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression.
  • Answer and screen incoming calls, routing them appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable reception area and other public office spaces.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.

Event, Culture, & Branding Support

  • Support event planning, setup, execution, and clean-up for various in-office meetings and events.
  • Assist with firmwide Values & Culture initiatives and The Asia Group Foundation projects.
  • Manage updates to the firm’s website updates, including bios, office locations, media mentions, and other content changes.
  • Contribute to social media posts alongside Communications team to encourage additional external engagement.
  • Support buildout of firmwide training initiatives alongside HR and Operations teams.

General Administrative Support

  • Perform other administrative and receptionist duties as needed.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational issues to ensure a smooth-running office

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and are expected to work in-person at the TAG Washington, D.C. office five days per week. Please note that TAG maintains a dog-friendly office environment. Candidates should be comfortable working in close proximity to dogs as part of our standard in-person work setting.

TAG provides competitive benefits, including premium health insurance, generous paid time off, 401(k) matching, and commuter allowances, with regular training opportunities available to its employees. For this role, TAG offers a salary of $50,000-$60,000 with eligibility for a discretionary end-of-year bonus. All interested candidates must apply via the application portal on our website.
