Mental Health Clinical Training & Practicum Placements

ElevaCare is seeking motivated and passionate individuals for our Internship and Practicum Program. Our agency provides a hands-on, paid learning experience designed for students pursuing undergraduate or graduate studies in social work, psychology, human services, or related fields.

This program offers a unique opportunity to gain meaningful, real-world experience while working closely with a team of experienced mental health professionals. Students will build essential clinical and professional skills, engage with a diverse range of clients, and participate in a variety of mental health services…from assessments and treatment planning to community outreach and advocacy. Beyond technical skills, interns will also have the chance to form strong professional connections, enhance their confidence in the field, and prepare for a successful career in mental health.

 

Undergraduate Level Students will have the opportunity to work in several departments within the agency including Unity House, ARMHS, CTSS, Targeted-Case Management and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT). Students will have a deepened comprehension of our care coordination model and the holistic wellbeing of each individual we serve.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in social work, psychology, human services, or related field
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings
  • Complete hours at agency location

 

Graduate Level Students will be exposed to a variety of services and experiences within a diverse population. These services include diagnostic assessments, functional assessments, level of care determination, case management and treatment of individuals, families and groups. Our program is designed to provide foundational training in the following:

  • Psychiatric evaluation
  • Medication testing
  • Psychological testing
  • Telephone, on-site, and mobile face-to-face
  • Mental health crisis response services
  • Adult intensive residential treatment

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in an accredited Master’s Level Program
  • Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings and trainings
  • Complete supervised hours at agency location
