WORK SCHEDULE:   10 – 15 hrs. per week – Temporary      Class 4

Seasonal position for the fall with the possibility to extend.

                                

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:     

The Marketing and Events intern will work under the direction of the Marketing and Events Coordinator. This position will assist in the development and implementation of the marketing and public relations plans for The Alpha Group.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with planning, implementation and follow-up for all special events. 
  • Assist in fundraising programs as necessary.
  • Assist with maintaining event and volunteer databases.
  • Assist with the coordination of logistics of event ticket sales and event contractors. 
  • Assist with photography and video projects for website and communication materials.
  • Assist with social media content entry and scheduling for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Create short videos for social media.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATIONAL:      Studies in the field of Business, Marketing, Public Relations; Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED SKILLS AND OTHER:   

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and good driving record.
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings. 
  • Must pass a BCI background check. 
  • Must remain in compliance with all regulatory standards governing program services, including appropriate trainings. 
  • Must not be a registered offender on the ODDD Abuse and Neglect Register or the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Abuser Register.
  • Must be able to communicate in a positive manner utilizing both written and oral methods. 
  • Participate in community events, festivals, tradeshows marketing informational booth.
  • Participate in holiday parades, float design/creation.
  • Must have excellent organizational and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule, if needed.
  • Polished, professional image.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must have applied skills in including but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point) and Canva.
  • Experience on Social Media Platforms –Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
  • Experience with photography/video equipment and development of videos for website helpful.
