Organization: Support to Succeed

Support to Succeed is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting career entry & advancement of nontraditional candidates in financial services careers. Our SIE Success program supports low-income, working adults to pass an industry-recognized certification (Securities Industry Essentials or SIE) that can lead to high-paying, client-facing finance careers. We focus on utilizing principles of restorative practices to foster a sense of belonging among cohorts, providing coaching on organization and time management, providing support for trainees to navigate barriers, and academic supports that foster critical thinking skills. Support to Succeed has achieved high success rates to date and is currently expanding into new markets.

Dates and Hours Per Week:

  • 15 hours / week during Fall and/or Spring Semester

Job Title: Fundraising Coordinator

Internship Pay Rate: $15 / hr 

Internship Responsibilities:

Provide support to our fundraising efforts:

  • Research and vet mission-aligned grants to apply for with key criteria and deadlines
  • Draft grants and assist in submitting specific grant opportunities
  • Coordinate team to complete grants and cultivate donor and employer connections
  • Support individual fundraising campaigns
  • Assist with email outreach and follow-up tasks associated with fundraising & revenue-generation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Organize time to independently meet deadlines without reminders
  • Detail-orientation in task tracking and grant review
  • Ability to write emails and communications in a compelling manner, using AI tools effectively
  • Integrate information and think critically
  • Strong research skills
  • Strong communication skills
