Position Overview:
Kia’s University Cooperative Education Program is designed to attract top undergraduate talent, provide meaningful hands‑on experience, and build a strong pipeline for future full‑time and part‑time entry‑level hires. Interns gain exposure to real-world Engineering and Administrative projects within a dynamic, international manufacturing environment.
Internship Opportunities: Co-op students may be placed in a variety of departments, which include Engineering: Process Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Quality Engineering, EHS Engineering. Business: Human Resources, Finance/Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain, Public Relations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Enrolled in a 4-year accredited bachelor’s degree program
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing
- Ability to work on-site in West Point, GA
- Internship dates vary by semester
- Legally authorized to work in the United States

- Basic engineering and math skills

Program Structure & Compensation:
Students may participate during spring, summer, or fall semesters:
- Winter/Spring: January–May
- Summer: May–August
- Fall: August–December
Additional details:
- Paid bi-weekly
- Hourly compensation: $24.00 (Engineering), Administrative: $22.00 (Business)
- Housing allowance: $1,000 (within 50 miles), $2,000 (beyond 50 miles)
- Team wear and safety gear provided
