FALL 2026 NY DESIGN-DEVELOPMENT INTERNSHIP 

POSITION TITLE: NY DESIGN-DEVELOPMENT INTERN 

WORK ARRANGEMENT: IN PERSON 

HOURS: Up to 32 hours per week (4 days). 

COMPENSATION: $17.00/hr. with eligibility for sick time. 

 

The Row was established in 2006 by Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen. Focusing on exceptional fabrics, impeccable details, and precise tailoring, the house combines a timeless perspective with subtle attitudes that form an irreverent classic signature. The Row’s collections also explore the strength of simplistic shapes that speak to discretion and are based on uncompromising quality. 

The NY Studio is looking for a technically trained, highly organized, and detail-oriented Design-Development Intern to provide support across our development and production functions. 

 

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

Eligible to work in the United States 

Previous internship experience preferred, especially in luxury fashion environment 

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 

Must be a self-starter, possess a can-do attitude, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. 

 

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree 
  • General understanding of garment patterns 
  • Proficient in garment construction 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

  • Digital and physical organizing, labeling, inventory
  • Fit and development photo editing and organization
  • Measuring garments and updating spec sheet
  • Midtown runs 
  • Preparing packages for external vendors 
  • Presentation prep, updating boards
  • Sew muslin/development swatches
  • Entry-level pattern work
