Coaction Specialty Insurance is offering an exciting opportunity to ambitious students who seek to gain work experience with a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing organization. In this internship, you will work alongside industry leaders to help Coaction with its continued goal of providing customers with an unrivaled level of service. Coaction’s internship program will provide you with a unique learning experience to help develop professional skills and provide career development.  

 

In this position, you will be provided with hands-on learning with one or more of our claims teams that support Coaction’s product verticals, which include Casualty, Binding and Multi-Line, Executive Liability, Property, and Entertainment.  Interns who successfully complete this program will have an opportunity to explore full-time opportunities with Coaction.   

 

Coaction Interns can expect to:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the claims process through an apprenticeship with a senior claim professional, who will act as a mentor and provide ongoing feedback on performance
  • Get exposure to claim files and litigated cases 
  • Participate in meetings with personnel from all levels of the organization on a variety of issues that may impact claims and/or underwriting 
  • Become an integral part of ongoing claims investigations by performing various tasks, including participating in claims round table sessions to discuss investigation findings, recommendations for additional work, and claims evaluation.
  • Attend mediations, trials, and other court sessions with claims personnel.
  • Interface with external vendors, including defense and coverage lawyers. 
  • Collaborate with underwriters and other departments across the organization 
  • Assist with claim data collection as part of broader efforts to provide underwriting with account-specific information and to help identify industry-wide claim trends

 

Qualifications:

Students must be considered rising juniors, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2028 (other grade levels will not be considered)

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA 
  • Candidates must be interested in exploring a career within the insurance industry
  • Self-motivated & goal-oriented
  • Organized and willing to take ownership of tasks at hand
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented individual with a positive attitude

 

Important Notes:

Coaction’s internship program does NOT offer remote work. Our internship roles are 5 days a week in our Morristown office. 

Candidates must live local to the Morristown, NJ area as we do not provide relocation assistance and require in office attendance. Our internship program will take place Summer 2027 from June-August.
