JOB PURPOSE: 

This internship is designed to improve the intern’s knowledge and understanding of Property & Casualty Insurance coverages. This person will interact with different Account Management Teams.  Projects and tasks will vary based on capacity with the core tasks focused on reviewing contractual insurance requirements in comparison to a client’s P&C insurance program to issue Certificates of Insurance to their business partners.

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Review contractual insurance requirements
  2. Verify Client’s Insurance Program is Compliant with their Contractual Requirements
  3. Use Agency Management System to issue Certificates of Insurance
  4. Interact with various Account Management Teams
  5. Attend carrier presentations to learn about their product offerings & underwriting appetite
  6. Participate in intern professional development and education sessions.
  7. Complete projects and other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: 

  1. The ideal candidate will be an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business, or related field(s).
  2. Must possess a high level of motivation and excellent attention to detail.
  3. A high school diploma required.
  4. High proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  5. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  6. Above average spelling and grammar skills.
  7. Ability to work in a team environment.
  8. High level of organizational ability and ability to multi-task.
  9. Ability to be proactive and work independently.
  10. Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  11. Detail-oriented with good analytical skills.
  12. Professional demeanor.
  13. Proficient in Graham standard computer applications.
  14. Regular and predictable attendance in accordance with the limitations and reporting procedures established by The Graham Company from time to time.
  15. Employees are required to be fit-for-duty which includes not being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.  This includes any drugs that might impact an employee’s ability to safely perform their job.
