In this position you’d take 2 shifts during the weekdays (M-F – though T-Th we don’t need any breaking news writers during the morning, but definitely could use some in the afternoon/evening). Your shift needs to be anywhere from 4-6 hours. During your shift, you won’t necessarily be writing the entire time, but will be working on some stories we didn’t get to and also being available in case something major comes up. Usually you’ll write 4-5 stories per shift, though they’ll be on the shorter side (~250 words)
Interns are trained and supervised by members of the mxdwn staff.
