We are currently searching for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our Advancement Intern. As an Intern, you will provide administrative support for the Office of Advancement, Special Events, and Marketing. This is an exciting, paid Internship providing an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge of independent school advancement operations. The position will work 15-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining and updating donor and alumni database
  • Research alumni for updated job titles, addresses, etc.
  • Assist advancement staff in event planning and coordination in preparation for fall and spring events
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as scanning and filing to assist advancement staff
  • Assist with the donor acknowledgment process
  • Research corporate sponsorship opportunities for upcoming events
  • Research matching gift opportunities for existing donors.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate student preferred
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office tools (Excel and Word) and Canva
  • Possess great communication skills
  • Has a positive and energetic mindset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A self-starter who is accountable and able to effectively work in an office environment
  • Exhibits a high degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Experience in marketing and communications or development is a plus
