Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ Careers in Health and Mentorship Program (CHAMP) offers students and recent graduates in Los Angeles a paid opportunity to gain hands-on experience in health administration.

CHAMP prepares interns for entry-level roles across the industry, including hospital management, finance, human resources, marketing, IT, patient relations, and advocacy and public policy.

Interns begin with career readiness workshops covering hospital operations, strategy, finance, and then are matched with a CHLA department for a project-based internship alongside an administrative healthcare professional. The program builds essential entry-level skills, professional relationships, and a clear pathway into a healthcare administration career.

Program Details:

  • Duration: 14 weeks (late August – early December 2026)
  • Schedule: Minimum 16 hours per week
  • Eligibility: Current students (undergraduate or graduate) or recent graduates within the last 6 months; must be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S., and able to pass a CHLA health screening
