Student-Created Animation Accepted into NYC Festival

The student animation “Watching Over You,” created by University alumni Qais Bachir ’19, Pasquale Dorsi ’19, and Marcus Sergeant ’19, was accepted into the annual NYC Metropolitan Area College Computer Animation Festival (MetroCAF). As part of the festival organized by the New York City chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH (Association of Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques), the animation was screened at the New York Institute of Technology’s Auditorium on Broadway on Sept. 27.

Started in 2003, MetroCAF provides an opportunity for students in the New York metropolitan area to show their work not only to their fellow students, but also to industry professionals.

Bachir, Dorsi, and Sergeant each hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in design and animation from Monmouth. Watch their project below:
