Monmouth University is pleased to announce that Dean of the School of Science and Associate Professor of Biology Michael A. Palladino has been named to Einstein’s Alley’s Board of Trustees.
Einstein’s Alley helps enhance the entrepreneurial ecosystem in its five-county Central New Jersey region in order to attract and retain technology-based businesses. Einstein’s Alley collaborates and coordinates with existing governmental, non-profit, and business sectors to help grow the region as a magnet for entrepreneurial activity and as a globally recognized economic powerhouse.
Einstein’s Alley, a 501C4, is currently raising awareness through conferences and presentations, STEM gatherings, and a municipal sign program designating the high tech corridor at key locations, fostering more entrepreneurial funding in New Jersey as well as spotlighting issues surrounding immigration and employment. Dr. Palladino has received several awards for research and teaching, and his research has been funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and the NJ Sea Grant College Program among others. Dr. Palladino has authored, co-authored, or edited over 30 peer-reviewed scientific publications. He is the co-author of Introduction to Biotechnology, an undergraduate textbook that is currently used at over 100 institutions throughout the world, and co-author of two leading textbooks in genetics.
