Monmouth University President Patrick F. Leahy has again been recognized by ROI-NJ on the ROI Influencers Power 2026: Higher Education list. This recognition highlights leaders who are shaping their institutions and contributing to New Jersey’s academic and economic landscape.
Leahy was honored for spearheading the expansion of the Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music at Monmouth University. The project includes a new, modern facility featuring exhibition gallery, dedicated educational and event spaces, and a 230-seat, state-of-the-art theater set to open on June 7.
Under Leahy’s leadership, Monmouth has also strengthened its academic profile, earning a National University designation by U.S. News & World Report and achieving a Carnegie Research Classification.
In addition, Leahy has led a successful comprehensive campaign that is on track to surpass $185 million—more than double the original target when the plan launched in 2021.
