Monmouth University has once again earned a spot on Money magazine’s Best Colleges in America list, the 11th consecutive time the University has been named to the roster.

Monmouth is one of 732 four-year institutions recognized for their quality and affordability, screened from a group of more than 2,400 private and public nonprofit colleges. “Being named once again to Money magazine’s Best Colleges in America list affirms our commitment to delivering a first-rate education that remains within reach for a broad and diverse student population,” said Monmouth University President Patrick F. Leahy.
Money analyzed 25 factors across three categories, which included quality of education, affordability, and outcomes. The individual metric scores for factors such as graduation rates, cost of attendance, financial aid, and alumni salaries were then used to assign each institution a rating on a five-star scale.
In addition to analyzing an institution’s pricing estimate against indicators of alumni financial success, Money magazine’s methodology determined how much value a college adds when compared to other schools that take in similar students. This measurement “gives an indication of how a college affects graduates’ outcomes, rather than simply rewarding colleges that admit the highest-performing students,” according to the list’s editors.
