BFA Alumni Selected in International Graphic Design Competition

Recent graduates of the BFA in Graphic and Interactive Design program, Madyson Lagotta ’24 and Natalie Rolon-Issa ’24, were selected as student winners of the Hiiibrand Awards 2023 (Logo Design Category). The awards, which were judged by a team of six international artists and designers, commend individuals and teams that have realized design innovation and excellent performance in the field of communication design.

Lagotta and Rolon-Issa created their personal branding in AR-408 Senior Year Experience in Fall 2023, which includes a logo design with variations, brand guide, business card, stationery, and personal resume. Their winning works are on view at Lagotta Logo and Rolon-Issa Logo. Jing Zhou, MFA, professor in the Department of Art and Design, served as the faculty advisor.

As an international, professional, and forward-looking design award that has been going on for more than a decade, the Hiiibrand Awards represent industry authority and standards, and are a symbol of high-quality brands and design practices. Learn more about the awards.
