Making the Connection: Turning your Extracurricular Activities Experience  into a Job Search Advantages

Potential employers are looking at more than just your grades.  They want to know what you did while you were earning those good grades. Outside of the classroom experiences often become points of discussion during a job interview.  Examining what you have done in your extracurricular activities that can relate to job experience (even if the activity did not connect to your major), and being able to express it in a resume and job interview are important.  During this session you will have the opportunity to examine your experiences and/or think about what you would still like to do with your extracurricular experiences to assist you in the long run.  This session is more relevant for first year through junior status students.
