Manage Your Loans

What is a Loan Servicer?

A loan servicer is a company that is assigned by Federal Student Aid to handle the billing and other services on federal student loans. Loan servicers work on behalf of Federal Student Aid at no cost to borrowers. Federal Student Aid assigns loans to a loan servicer after the first disbursement is made. The loan servicer contacts borrowers after that.

It’s important to keep your contact information up to date with your loan servicer so they can help you stay on track with repaying your loans. If your circumstances change at any time during your repayment period, your loan servicer will be able to help.
