
Introduction to Radiology & Imaging Modalities

Cost: $$95 / $85 for MU students, alumni, and preceptors
This activity is designed to enhance the knowledge of Advanced Practice Nurses or Allied Health Professionals in radiology and introduction to imaging modalities. A focus will be on a systematic approach to reading chest x-rays and orthopedic films.
Program content will include:
- Basic radiographic principles and techniques.
- Identification of common radiographic findings.
- Integration of radiographic findings with clinical presentations.
- Differentiation between normal and abnormal radiographs.
- Introduction to other imaging modalities including Ultrasound, CT scans, and MRI
Desired Learning Outcome: Healthcare providers will learn skills and techniques in radiographic interpretation and apply them to practice in the clinical setting.
Contact Hours: For nurses 3.0 contact hours will be provided – a certificate of completion will be provided for all other allied health professionals.

Successful Completion: Participants will attend 95% of the program and complete an online evaluation to receive contact hours.
