  • The Hunts

    Known for their harmony-laced take on alt-folk, The Hunts are a Chesapeake, Virginia-based band of seven siblings who’ve been playing music together almost their entire lives. Twin sisters Jessi and Jenni and five brothers Josh, Jonathan, Jordan, Justin, and Jamison, now ranging in age from 26 down to 17, learned to sing and play violin as young kids and spent much of their childhood performing in their community. After widening their following and playing at theaters, festivals and universities around the country—and teaching themselves to play instruments like mandolin, piano, ukulele, banjo, and drums — The Hunts started experimenting with songwriting and soon brought to life a batch of songs that reveal their sophisticated sense of melody and undeniably dreamy innocence.

    Inspired by shared memories, The Hunts have created songs that capture heartache and wonder with a wide-eyed but wistful elegance. The Hunts hold true to a songwriting process that taps into each member’s unique strengths but remains intensely collaborative. That unified approach infuses their music with an irresistible richness of spirit. Their songs are artfully arranged yet instilled with a graceful simplicity. While getting seven strong-minded brothers and sisters to agree on every last note and lyric can sometimes be chaotic, The Hunts note that the synergy born from that chaos is what makes the band so strong.

  • Mystic India

    Created by Director Amit Shah and featuring the AATMA Performing Arts dance company, Mystic India: The World Tour is an internationally acclaimed Bollywood dance spectacular based on the concept of ancient India’s transition into modern India. The colorful costumes and elaborate sets have been custom designed by Amit Shahand handmade in India’s film capital by a team of 40 designers and workers over the course of four years. The team of diverse, impeccably trained dancers from the AATMA Performing Arts dance company combines authentic Indian and modern techniques bringing the streets Mumbai and New York into perfect harmony.

    Over HALF A MILLION people have seen Mystic India: The World Tour since its conception in 2011 through its successful tours in South Africa, Switzerland, Canada, Bahrain, China and various cities in the United States. The company has opened for Carrie Underwood in Las Vegas and performed at top venues including major casinos, amusement parks and performing arts centers. It is the first internationally-touring Indian dance production headed by the USA- based dance company, and the first touring Indian production that carries such a diverse cast of artists. City and Shore Magazine voted it “The Must-See Show of the Season.”

    Audiences of Mystic India: The World Tour can expect an explosion of colors and energy as they travel on a celebratory journey through Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Punjab and Gujarat, and even through the progression of Bollywood films via a stunning visual display that fuses dance, theater and spectacular special effects.

  • Matt O’Ree Band

    Over the past few years, The Matt O’Ree Band has done what most area bands do. They’ve played their shows, developed their sound, released their records and very quietly built a massive fan base in the process.

    What makes this band different from all the others is that their local fan base includes Bruce Springsteen, David Bryan and Steve Cropper, all of whom have volunteered to perform on the band’s latest album, “Brotherhood”.

    Prior to Brotherhood’s release, Matt’s talent was recognized globally when he got the nod to join rock legends Bon Jovi as their guitarist/backing vocalist on their 2015 stadium tour of the Far East.

    In addition to being a creative songwriter, Matt was recognized by the industry as a guitar great after winning a national guitar contest hosted by BB King and John Mayer through Guitar Center and Guitar World Magazine. Matt beat out over 4,000 competitors to win the grand prize which consisted of multiple guitars, an endorsement from Gibson, a shopping spree at Guitar Center and a new car from Scion. This major accomplishment was the spark that jump started his career and gave his band momentum for their future success.

    Growing up on influencers ranging from Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Rory Gallagher, ZZ Top, Robin Trower, Joe Walsh and Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Matt O’Ree Band has taken all these diverse elements and forged a new iron.

    The band takes their fans on a ride that hasn’t been heard or seen at this level since the ’70s. Their live show is like revisiting a Zeppelin concert at the Garden, and with Scott Bennert on bass, John Hummel on drums, Layonne Holmes and Eryn Shewell laying down angelically gutsy backing vocals, and keyboard duties brilliantly shared by Matt Wade and Dave Archer, Matt and company have built a foundation that can hold up the biggest house on the block.

  • ON THE MAP

    ON THE MAP tells the against-all-odds story of Maccabi Tel Aviv’s 1977 European Championship, which took place at a time when the Middle East was still reeling from the 1973 Yom Kippur War, the 1972 Olympic massacre at Munich, and the 1976 hijacking of an Air France flight from Tel Aviv. Through the lens of sports, ON THE MAP presents a much broader story of how one team captured the heart of a nation amidst domestic turmoil and the global machinations of the Cold War.

    The film recounts how an underdog Israeli basketball team prevailed over a series of European basketball powers, including CSKA Moscow (known in the West as “Red Army”), a team that repeatedly refused to compete against Israeli competitors. Moments after this highly charged and historic win, Israeli-American basketball hero Tal Brody became an indelible part of a young country’s history when he famously said, “Israel is ON THE MAP, not just in sport, but in everything.”

    Told through the eyes of six American basketball players who joined Maccabi and helped the club defeat top teams from Spain, Italy and the Soviet Union, the film features interviews with basketball icon Bill Walton (who had a unique personal connection to Brody) and former NBA Commissioner David Stern.  ON THE MAP combines the pulse-pounding action of a high-stakes thriller with an incendiary political backdrop to deliver a film that will mesmerize basketball fans and captures the spirit of a nation triumphant against all odds.

    ON THE MAP also features incisive interviews with, among others, Michael Oren, Israel’s former Ambassador to the United States, and Natan Sharansky, a notable Israeli politician who spent years imprisoned in Soviet jails.

  • UB40 – NEW DATE!!

    World-famous reggae stars UB40 are set to mark their 40th anniversary with a US tour in support of their first album release in over four years. The band will play many of their seventeen Top 10 hit singles, including Kingston Town, Food For Thought, One In Ten, I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You, Don’t Break My Heart and Sing Our Own Song and, of course, Red, Red Wine. The concert will feature five of UB40’s six founding members, Robin Campbell, Brian Travers, Jimmy Brown, Earl Falconer and Norman Hassan, and long-time members Duncan Campbell, Martin Meredith, Lawrence Parry and Tony Mullings. UB40 formed in 1978, naming themselves after the unemployment benefit form, before releasing their debut album ‘Signing Off’ in August 1980 – considered by many to be one of the greatest reggae albums ever released by a British band. The band has forty UK Top 40 hit singles, sold over 100 million records and seen their albums reside in the UK’s Top 75 album chart for a combined period of eleven years, making them one of the most successful British groups of all time.
