Presenting the 25th Anniversary concerts of On A Winter’s Night from veteran singer-songwriters Christine Lavin, John Gorka, Patty Larkin, Cheryl Wheeler and Cliff Eberhardt. These are among the brightest stars of the singer/songwriter movement for the past three decades.
In 1994 Christine Lavin gathered them together, along with folk and Americana artists to showcase music of the Winter Season on the now classic On A Winter’s Night CD, followed by several years of touring collaborations. These artists have released dozens of recordings and toured steadily through the decades, with fond memories of their touring days together. Now in 2019-2020, the winter season is again celebrated by these unique and popular performers, back together by popular demand.
The legendary group, The 5th Dimension continues to awe sold out audiences with their amazing harmonies, immaculate showmanship, and exciting energy. With over 20 million records sold worldwide, 22 TOP 40 Hits, five No.1 hits and six Grammy’s, they’re truly accomplished. An Evening with Melanie is an unforgettable night of songs and stories from the incredible career of the artist who became known as “The Female Bob Dylan.” Accompanied by her son, Beau-Jarred, the show is a musical journey that starts with that momentous day in the summer of 1969, when Melanie first attracted national attention with her Woodstock performance.
Melanie’s singles Brand New Key (Roller Skate Song), Lay Down (Candles in the Rain), Peace Will Come, Look What They’ve Done To My Song, Ma and Ruby Tuesday have all achieved chart success, with Brand New Key reaching No. 1 and remaining in the charts for 18 weeks in 1971. A new generation was exposed to Melanie with the release of Miley Cyrus’ cover of Look What They’ve Done To My Song, Ma. A year later, Miley Cyrus invited Melanie to be part of her Backyard Sessions, and together they recorded a live version of Look What They Done To My Song Ma and Peace Will Come.

A cavalcade of Holiday favorites featuring the Monmouth University Chamber Orchestra, The Jazz Hawks, The Concert Choir, the Chamber Choir, soloists, and a special appearance by the Colts Neck Reformed Church Exultation Ringers, all in the magisterial setting of the Great Hall.
Concurrently primitive and futuristic, The Earth Harp incorporates sculpting, architecture and sound design, standing at the crossroads of music and art. The Earth Harp was built and developed by William Close, a New York native and alumni at the Art Institute of Chicago. William performs as part of The Earth Harp Collective – a team of musicians, dancers, aerialists and artists.
While studying at the Institute, Close realized in order to succeed he had to do something that no one else had done. An avid musician who played in garage bands as a teenager, he started concocting then building his own instruments. His background as a sailor served as inspiration for the use of natural sounds – the wind whipping the sails, the sound of the rigs flapping and being pulled tight.
“I’ve always seen and heard the world as an instrument,” says Close. “Just hearing nature’s tones inspires me.”
The body of The Earth Harp rests on the stage, while the strings travel over the audience, attaching to the back of the theatre, concert hall and/or festival ground, turning every space into an instrument. By using violin rosin covered gloves along the strings, the Earth Harp’s bowed tones and overlapping ripple effect offers a dramatic cathedral-like sound effect.
Close’s celebrated Earth Harp earned him a finalist slot on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and was recently named by the World Record Academy as creating and holding the record for the world’s largest stringed instrument. Close has designed at least two permanent Earth Harp installations, one as part of Cirque du Soleil’s show KA at the MGM Las Vegas, the other as part of a 1,300-seat theater aboard the Royal Caribbean International’s newest ship, Quantum of the Seas. He has brought his Earth Harp to iconic venues like Rome’s Coliseum, Washington, DC’s Kennedy Center, New York’s Lincoln Center, Seattle’s Space Needle, Shanghai’s Grand Theater, Sao Paulo’s Theatro Muncipal, Qatar’s Dhow Harbour, as well as major U.S. festivals like Lollapalooza, Coachella, Bumbershoot, Burning Man and Lighting in a Bottle. With an interest in soundtrack work, Close has also recorded music for Game Of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi for Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim.
“I love the idea of these expansive, grand-scale, but still user-friendly experiences,” he says.

A swinging tribute to Ol’ Blue Eyes, My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra relives Sinatra’s legendary career as four actors take you on a musical revue spanning the breadth of his career from his early beginnings as a crooner in New York, to the bright lights of Las Vegas with the Rat Pack, to his final performances. Conceived by David Grapes and Todd Olson, My Way invites its audience to take a trip down memory lane while reliving Sinatra’s remarkable five-decade career the 1950s to the1990s. From a songbook of over 1300 tunes, My Way chooses fifty-four of Sinatra’s songs that include “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Chicago,” “New York, New York,” and “That’s Life.” It’s a celebration just as Ol’ Blue Eyes would have wanted it – a few stories, a few drinks, and plenty of knockout tunes.

Captured live from London’s West End in 2013, the original broadcast returns to cinemas to mark National Theatre Live’s 10th birthday.
For 60 years, Queen Elizabeth II has met with each of her 12 prime ministers in a private weekly meeting. This meeting is known as The Audience. No one knows what they discuss, not even their spouses.
From the old warrior Winston Churchill, to Iron Lady Margaret Thatcher and finally David Cameron, the Queen advises her prime ministers on all matters both public and personal. Through these private audiences, we see glimpses of the woman behind the crown and witness the moments that shaped a monarch.
An absurdist comedy troupe who happen to be the first troupe of people with Asperger’s Syndrome. They were featured in the Duplass Brothers Productions documentary “Asperger’s Are Us” now on Netflix. They have performed over 100 original absurdist sketch shows in nine countries since 2010.
“Audiences don’t usually know what to expect from Asperger’s Are Us, a Boston sketch comedy troupe made up solely of artists on the autism spectrum. Will they use self-deprecating humor about life with Asperger’s syndrome? Are they hoping to shed light on a serious condition? Will they be something like Sheldon, the socially inept character on CBS’s ‘The Big Bang Theory’?
The answer, it turns out, is none of the above.
Instead of focusing on the condition, the four men who make up the troupe perform skits and monologues that reflect their thoughts, perspectives and offbeat sensibilities, often characterized by deadpan and absurd humor… the guys are not looking for sympathy laughs or polite applause. Small Island embarks on a journey from Jamaica to Britain, through the Second World War to 1948 – the year the HMT Empire Windrush docked at Tilbury, England.
The play follows three intricately connected stories. Hortense yearns for a new life away from rural Jamaica, Gilbert dreams of becoming a lawyer, and Queenie longs to escape her Lincolnshire roots. Hope and humanity meet stubborn reality as the play traces the tangled history of Jamaica and the UK.
A company of 40 actors take to the stage of the National Theatre in London in this timely and moving story.
