Sylvia Zircher, Ed.D., currently serves as superintendent of schools in South River Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey. She brings extensive leadership experience to her role at Monmouth University, having previously served as a school principal and as director of curriculum and instruction. These positions have provided her with deep, practical insight into the strategies and practices that drive student and organizational success.
Zircher is a graduate of Monmouth University’s Ed.D. in educational leadership program. She teaches graduate-level courses in educational leadership, including Introduction to Leadership, within both the M.A.Ed. and Ed.D. programs. Her teaching is informed by her ongoing work in pre-K–12 leadership and her active engagement in scholarship.
Her research interests include career exploration pathways for students and the implementation of social-emotional learning (SEL) standards in schools. Zircher contributes regularly to academic journals and edited volumes in the field of educational leadership.
