The primary research interests of Sean Bogart, Ph.D., are predominantly defined by the role of individual political identity and attitudes on critical social outcomes. This work tends to fall along two primary domains: the role of politics in misinformation susceptibility and hostility towards DEI practices, both organizationally and societally. The research plans to further extend this work by evaluating how misinformation about DEI practices further worsens partisanship support for their implementation, while keeping the primary focus on those communities most negatively impacted by these negative attitudes.
