Joseph Pingitore ’00 is the associate vice president for finance and budget. Together with Associate Vice President and Controller Mary Byrne, Pingitore co-leads the Division of Finance. He manages the Finance and Budgets Department, University Store, Office of Purchasing, Central Box Office, Mailroom Services, and the Digital Print Center.

Pingitore prepares and maintains the University’s budget model, yearly operating budgets, and capital and plant fund budgets. He also oversees contract and grant accounting, including the indirect cost proposal and plant and equipment accounting. He additionally serves as a co‑liaison to the Finance and Investment and Audit Committees of the Board of Trustees.

Before joining Monmouth in 2018, Pingitore was the executive director of finance at Brookdale Community College for six years. Prior to his career in higher education, he served as an independent public auditor for 11 years in the higher education and nonprofit sector.

A proud alumnus, Pingitore received his Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Monmouth University in 2000, and a Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University in 2020.
