Janine Speiser, DSW, MSW, LSW, is the Assistant Director of Practicum Education and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Social Work at Monmouth University. With 15 years of experience in social work education, she approaches higher education administration as a form of macro social work practice, driving systems-level change to advance student access, equity, and professional development.

Dr. Speiser teaches macro practicum seminar and has taught policy, human behavior and the social environment, global human rights, and doctoral-level educational leadership. Her doctoral research examined national patterns of global content integration among social work faculty, reflecting her broader commitment to strengthening global and structural perspectives within social work education.

In her day-to-day work, Dr. Speiser is deeply student-centered, dedicating substantial time and energy to personalized support as a practicum advisor, graduate assistant manager, and intern supervisor, serving as a trusted resource for students at every stage of their professional development. Philosophically and programmatically, her work focuses on advancing practicum equity and strengthening the integration of macro and global perspectives within professional preparation.

Her professional and scholarly interests include macro social work, higher education as a site of practice, global social work education, policy, and the responsibility of the profession to address systemic inequities through both practice and pedagogy.
