Erica Sciarra is a dual doctorally prepared (Ph.D., DNP) National League for Nursing certified nurse educator with nearly 25 years of clinical and academic nursing experience who advances excellence in nursing education through innovation, evidence-based teaching strategies, and scholarship that promotes the well-being of educators and students. She holds a Certificate in Effective College Instruction from the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE), and has contributed to the preparation of educators nationwide through the development of evidence-based instructional videos for ACUE’s Nurse Educator Certification in Effective Teaching. Her national impact also includes co-authoring an interprofessional wellness toolkit that advances student resilience and workforce sustainability, as well as numerous publications and presentations focused on evidence-based teaching practices. Sciarra holds several leadership appointments, including current service on the boards of directors for the New Jersey League for Nursing and the National Consortium of Academic Nurse Educators where she is also a founding member. Sciarra serves on the Editorial Board for the journal Teaching and Learning in Nursing published by Elsevier, and is a fellow in the New York Academy of Medicine. She was also a 2023 participant in the National League for Nursing Leadership Institute LEAD Program. Sciarra currently serves as an assistant professor at Monmouth University, preparing practice-ready nurses.
