Dr. Hackenberg’s occupational roles include: mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, educator, and occupational therapist.

Dr. Hackenberg began her career as an OT in 2010 working in subacute rehab, acute care and outpatient pediatrics. After five years in that role she moved to the academic setting, working as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, eventually becoming the Director of Fieldwork Education. In conjunction with academia, Dr. Hackenberg began working in home care PRN.

Family is of greatest importance to Dr. Hackenberg, in her roles as mother, wife, daughter and sister. She spends the majority of her time participating in activities with family and friends, particularly enjoying cooking, gardening, and listening to music. She also enjoys reading. She lives outside of Philadelphia, PA with her husband, son Vincent, and two dogs, Charlie and Sally.
