MONMOUTH UNIVERSITY RANKED IN TOP 50 IN U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT ANNUAL LIST OF AMERICA’S BEST COLLEGES

Monmouth University continues to be ranked in the top 50 in their category of the U.S. News & World Report‘s annual list of America’s Best Colleges. Monmouth is one of the fastest-rising universities in its category (Regional Universities North) over the last decade. Monmouth has climbed from a Tier 3 institution to a Tier 1 institution and from a Tier 1 ranking of 76 in 2005 to its highest ranking this year—a Tier 1 ranking of 37. Monmouth is also included in one other listing, “A+ Schools for B Students.”

Over the past two decades, the U.S. News college rankings, which group schools based on categories created by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, has grown to be the most comprehensive research tool for students and parents considering higher education opportunities.

“The rankings reflect how Monmouth University is dedicated to academic excellence and to ensuring a personalized education for our students,” stated President Paul G. Gaffney II.

“It’s terrific to see the higher rankings mirror the incredible progress this institution has made. Monmouth University has always had one of the best locations in the country; over the last decade it has also provided one of the best educations in the country,” added Vice President for Enrollment Management Robert Mc Caig.

The exclusive rankings, which include rankings of more than 1,600 schools nationwide, are available at www.usnews.com/colleges.
