About the President’s Relief Fund
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, President Patrick Leahy and generous members of the Monmouth University community have joined together to establish the President’s Relief Fund, which will provide assistance to current students facing financial hardship during this uncertain time. The President’s Relief Fund can support hardships including: technology access; unexpected travel expenses; food insecurity; and other necessities for daily living.Make a Gift

We understand that each student is facing a unique set of challenges. Therefore, each request will be carefully evaluated as soon as it is received. To ensure the University can support as many deserving students as possible, we will only consider one appeal per eligible student and grants will be limited in size. Only current full-time students are eligible.
The President’s Relief Fund will not support: tuition and loans; on-campus work; lab fees; university room and board; and other refunds or circumstances unrelated to the COVID-19 pandemic as reviewed by the President’s Relief Fund Grant Team. All students are encouraged to read President Leahy’s message about what the University is currently doing to support on-campus work, refunds, residential move-out, summer international trips, and more before submitting an appeal.
As of March 28, 2020: For students seeking rent and mortgage relief, please review the executive order from Governor Murphy mandating the suspension of all evictions for the next 60 days, before submitting an appeal.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
NOTE: Please be aware that payments from the President’s Relief Fund may represent taxable income to the recipient. All recipients are encouraged to consult their tax advisor with questions.
