Alexis M. Nulle, specialist professor of public relations in the Department of Communication, has been appointed chair of the board of trustees of Redeem-Her in Toms River, NJ. Redeem-Her provides safe, sober living and assistance and transitional services to women released from rehabilitation and incarceration to help rebuild their lives.
“Alexis has a long history of serving community nonprofits. As faculty advisor of our nationally accredited Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter and Shadow PR Firm, she continues to lead by example and serve as an inspiration to students who achieve their educational goals while they build their professional foundation,” said Aaron Furgason, Ph.D., chair of the Department of Communication.
For nearly seven years, Nulle has served as the PRSSA and Shadow PR faculty co-advisor, along with Mary Harris, A.P.R., specialist professor of communication. Nulle has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses. Prior to her academic appointment, Nulle worked in the public relations sector for over 10 years with a specialization in nonprofits and education.
Nulle continues her professional development as an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and serves on the PRSA Educators Academy Committee.
