2022 Art & Design Career Day and Alumni Highlights

The 2022 Art and Design Career Day and Networking Event took place virtually on Thursday, April 7. Organized by the Department of Art and Design and the Office of The Career Development, the theme of this year’s panel talk was Unlocking Your Dreams. Three guest speakers from different art and design disciplines shared their successful work and life experiences to over 40 students from sophomores to seniors. Two speakers are Monmouth Art and Design alumni (sorted by last name):

Steve Boldt ’06 is a director of product experience design at Mastercard with the Customer Experience & Design Team. He has made lasting contributions to design initiatives for Mastercard, Etrade and Astor Chocolate. Most recently with Mastercard, Boldt has helped to co-create and deliver engaging experiences that empower global product and sales teams to pitch compelling consumer-centric solutions that win critical deals while strengthening relationships with partners. His work also includes design direction, experience design consultation and solutions for many clients such as Apple, Google, Amazon, and Citi.

Jimmy Leslie ’90 is currently resident artist for the fine art brands Liquitex and Winsor & Newton and fine art collective director at ColArt North America. As a painter and former college art professor, he works with the marketing team on assets related to new product development. His paintings have been exhibited across the United States and reside in collections in the US and UK.
