Multiple Grammy award winning artist, Rosanne Cash, was one of the first artists to kick off our 2016-2017 season presented under a special partnership between Monmouth University and the LA-based Grammy Museum. Cash’s husband, celebrated vocalist, songwriter, musical director and guitarist John Leventhal and their full band, joined her on stage in a set that draws from the artist’s rich catalog of recordings — with a spotlight on the triple-Grammy album “The River and the Thread.”

Prior to performing on stage, Cash performed an open rehearsal and Q&A for Monmouth University Music Industry students. This opportunity marked a landmark occasion for students who were able to witness this legend in person and then ask her questions about her work.

Attendees of the event also had the opportunity to view “Bob Dylan: Photographs by Daniel Kramer,” a Grammy Museum-curated exhibit on the walls of the building’s Pollak Gallery. Collecting more than 40 candid images of the ascendant musical game-changer taken between 1964 and 1965, the Dylan exhibit remained on display through December 2016.
