Accessibility
The Center for the Arts is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible environment for all patrons. We strive to ensure that individuals of all abilities can fully engage with and enjoy our programs.
As a university-based presenting organization with a wide range of programming and venues accessibility services may vary. We encourage patrons to contact our Box Office in advance so we may best accommodate individual needs.

Mobility Access
Our facilities are designed to provide ease of access throughout the venue and include:
- On-grade entrances and elevator access
- Accessible restrooms
- Railings and wide doorways
- Integrated wheelchair seating within the theatre
Patrons using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids are fully accommodated. Wheelchair escort service is available upon request, and staff are happy to assist with transportation to and from seating areas. Wheelchairs may also be stored during the performance for patrons who wish to transfer to a theatre seat.
Assistive Listening
Assistive Listening Devices are available. These lightweight, wireless headsets enhance sound clarity and amplification. Devices may be requested at the Box Office upon arrival.
Audio Description
Audio Description may be available for select performances with advance request. This service provides live, objective narration of key visual elements for patrons who are blind or have low vision.
We recommend submitting requests at least two to three weeks prior to the performance to allow for coordination.
American Sign Language (ASL) Interpretation
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation may be arranged for select performances with advance request.
Requests should be made at least two to three weeks in advance, when possible, to allow for coordination.
Open Captioning
Open Captioning may be available for select performances or by advance request, depending on artist approval and production logistics. Real-time captions are displayed on a screen near the stage to provide access to spoken dialogue and lyrics.
Sensory-Friendly Accommodations
The Center for the Arts recognizes the importance of creating welcoming experiences for individuals with sensory sensitivities, autism spectrum disorders, and other developmental differences.
While we are not currently able to offer full sensory-modified performances on a regular basis, we are committed to working with patrons and families to provide individualized accommodations whenever possible, which may include:
- Early entry or assisted seating
- Access to quiet spaces when available
- Flexible seating options
Large Print Programs
Large print programs are available upon request at the Box Office.
Fragrance-Free Environment
We kindly ask audience members to refrain from wearing colognes, perfumes, or scented products when attending these events.
Ongoing Commitment
The Center for the Arts is actively working to expand and strengthen accessibility across all programs. We welcome feedback from our community and continue to seek partnerships and funding opportunities to grow services such as ASL interpretation, captioning, and sensory-inclusive programming.
