Call for Entries

This call for entries seeks works by artists whose mosaics blend the meticulous craftsmanship of mosaic work with the illusionistic qualities of painting in a fascinating fusion of two distinct art forms.

We invite submission of mosaics that employ techniques such as shading, perspective and color blending that create the appearance of a painted image. Artists are encouraged to explore intricate details and subtle gradations of color, as well as mimic brush strokes and texture to achieve a level of depth and dimensionality reminiscent of classical oil painting.

The subject matter can vary widely and may include scenes from mythology, nature, and everyday life. We are particularly interested in pieces that showcase a mastery of both mosaic technique and artistic vision, pushing the boundaries of traditional mosaic artistry.
