Artists are invited to submit original artwork for Monmouth University’s art exhibit, Diversity Lives Here: Representation Through Art.

The LGBTQIA+ community is a vibrant spectrum! For too long, LGBTQIA+ folks have had to fight for the space to share their ideas and work. Join us in ensuring our educational spaces highlight and celebrate the vital contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community through art.

Monmouth University is committed to ensuring visibility of all members of our community. We have dedicated spaces to display jury-selected artwork in each academic building to ensure everyone at Monmouth University is not just visible within our halls but valued! We want to dedicate those spaces this year to highlighting the lives, joys, struggles, and experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Student artists are welcomed and encouraged to submit work that reflects on identity, diversity, representation, gender, inclusion, love, power, or equity. These works can be inspired by personal, historical, or community focused lenses.

Because the artwork will be displayed on campus, student artwork is especially meaningful. All work should be submitted digitally. Selected artwork will be printed and hung throughout Monmouth University’s buildings. This prompt is intentionally broad to capture your vibrant and creative expression.

You can help Monmouth University represent a spectrum of diversity and inclusion by submitting your artwork today!
