The Center for the Arts at Monmouth University has announced that tickets are on sale for a October 18 concert presentation with The 5th Dimension award-winning group behind such soul classics as Up, Up and Away, One Less Bell to Answer, Wedding Bell Blues, Last Night I Didn’t Get to Sleep at All, Stoned Soul Picnic, and the majestic Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine In at the Pollak Theatre

The 5th Dimension has made over 25 million in sales with 22 Top 40 hits and five No.1 songs. They have performed on the world’s most famous stages, including Radio City Music Hall alongside Frank Sinatra and the Hollywood Bowl, and delivered unforgettable television performances on the Ed Sullivan Show, Soul Train and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. The 5th Dimension has secured its position in the Grammy Hall of Fame, with 14 gold records, six platinum records and six Grammy Awards.

In 2015, original member and lead vocalist, Florence LaRue celebrated 50 years with the group. With Willie Williams, Leonard Tucker, Patrice Morris and Floyd Smith, the show includes more vocal range than ever and material that is fresh and varied. Much to the audience’s delight, LaRue works hard to remain true to the sound of The 5th Dimension’s original recordings, and performs their hits in their entirety.

Tickets for the October 18 concert range from $35-55 and can be reserved through the Monmouth University Box Office at 732-263-6889, or online at www.monmouth.edu/MCA. Tickets for other upcoming Performing Arts events — including a concert event featuring William Close and the Earth Harp Collective (November 2) and On A Winter’s Night (November 16) at the Pollak Theatre— are also available now.
