As a universal language the arts are a very effective tool for addressing social issues. The #metoo movement has brought to the surface long ignored injustices perpetrated mostly against women for generations that are finally screaming to be remedied. This juried exhibition will feature works that eloquently depicts remedies, that teach us how to honor women and others who have been maligned, how to implement change within our culture, to alter perceptions and ultimately excise this malady for future generations.

Summer Encore Series: The Audience

Academy Award®-winner Helen Mirren (The Queen), plays Queen Elizabeth II in the Tony Award®-winning production of The Audience. Captured live from London’s West End in 2013, the original broadcast returns to cinemas to mark National Theatre Live’s 10th birthday. For 60 years, Queen Elizabeth II has met with each of her 12 prime ministers in a private weekly meeting. This meeting is known as The Audience. No one knows what they discuss, not even their spouses. From the old warrior Winston Churchill, to Iron Lady Margaret Thatcher and finally David Cameron, the Queen advises her prime ministers on all matters both public and personal. Through these private audiences, we see glimpses of the woman behind the crown and witness the moments that shaped a monarch.

Calling All Divas

CALLING ALL DIVAS is a pop, rock, soul, and country hit parade – positively affirming the power of music, friendship, and sisterhood through the journey of Frankie, a struggling, wanna-be hit songwriter, as he scours the city to find the next “Un4gettable” female voice in a desperate plan to save a faltering iconic music nightspot from closing its doors. Along the way, he gloriously finds far more than he could have ever imagined! Academy Award-winning songwriter Franke Previte (Dirty Dancing) and world-renowned live show specialist Michael LaFleur (Disney, Universal, Celine Dion, etc.) have joined forces to deliver this unique, musical celebration of the timeless tunes and talents of Etta James, Carole King, The Pointer Sisters, Kelly Clarkson, Aretha Franklin, Miley Cyrus, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, and many more … as well as original favorites by Previte himself.

My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra presented by Shadow Lawn Stage

A swinging tribute to Ol’ Blue Eyes, My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra relives Sinatra’s legendary career as four actors take you on a musical revue spanning the breadth of his career from his early beginnings as a crooner in New York, to the bright lights of Las Vegas with the Rat Pack, to his final performances. Conceived by David Grapes and Todd Olson, My Way invites its audience to take a trip down memory lane while reliving Sinatra’s remarkable five-decade career the 1950s to the1990s. From a songbook of over 1300 tunes, My Way chooses fifty-four of Sinatra’s songs that include “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Chicago,” “New York, New York,” and “That’s Life.” It’s a celebration just as Ol’ Blue Eyes would have wanted it – a few stories, a few drinks, and plenty of knockout tunes.
