Goldilocks and the Three Bears

The Yates Musical Theatre’s production of Hansel and Gretel and Goldilocks and the Three Bears (from the Brothers Grimm) is a production that is a delight to the heart and to the senses. Both the young and the young at heart will enjoy this double bill of cherished favorites. Colorful costumes and lively music and dance bring the beloved characters to life before your very eyes, complete with a witch, a few dancing bears and some very resourceful children. By watching Hansel and his sister Gretel stick together and keep their cool, children learn about carefully thinking their way through bad situations. And by watching Goldilocks in the home of the three bears, children will learn to think twice before judging others. We all will begin to see that even the fiercest looking creatures may be loving, peaceful and funny - if we respect them and get to know them. This double feature is sure to be a great time for your entire family!

The Winnie-the-Pooh Christmas Carol

This tale is an adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens novel as retold with the beloved A.A. Milne Hundred Acre Wood characters. Filled with wit, warmth, and whimsy, it recounts the events of one fateful Christmas Eve for the miserly “Rabbineezer Scrooge” (Rabbit). Scrooge is taught some valuable life lessons, including the true meaning of giving and the importance of family, as he is visited by the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Future (all embodied by Pooh Bear). Along this look at his life’s journey, Rabbineezer encounters his long lost business partner, “Jacob Meeyoreley” (Eeyore the Donkey) and his teacher from his school days, “Professor Owl Fezzywig” (Owl). Rabbineezer must examine his relationships with his clerk, “Tigger Cratchet” (Tigger) and Cratchet’s family, “Kanga Cratchet” (Kanga) and “Piggy Tim” (Piglet). All occurs with the help and guidance of Pooh’s owner and friend, Christopher Robin.

The adventures of the puppet-with-no-strings take the audience to the world of show business, to the belly of a whale, and to everything in between.
