About:

Professor Cox is an Assistant Professor of Digital Media and coordinator of the Interactive Media minor in the Department of Communication at Monmouth University. He is an inter-media artist, designer, and creative technologist uniting facets of design, interactivity, play, fabrication, creative coding, and animation. Cox holds a M.F.A. in Design with a focus in filmmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). He has presented his work at The College of New Jersey, Johnson State College, Grounds for Sculpture, the Athens Institute for Contemporary Art, VCU’s Anderson Gallery, the New Mexico Filmmakers Showcase, Sprockets Music Video Festival, and the AUX Experimental Arts Festival.

Areas of expertise include: Film Production, Digital & New Media, 2D Animation, Web Design and Development, Creative Coding, Design Thinking, Electronic-mediated media installations, Physical Computing, Digital Fabrication, Emergent Media & Creative Technology, Sensors and Gestural Computing, Tabletop Game Design, and Augmented and Virtual Reality.
