Monmouth University Receives Resolution from Senate and Assembly For Outstanding Services for Veterans
Back to All News
Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini presented a resolution from the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey to Monmouth University on January 28 for its recognition as one of the country's top colleges for our nation's veterans. U.S.News & World Report, Military Times, Victory Media, and Military Advanced Education Magazine have all recognized Monmouth University for providing outstanding services to support a military friendly environment.
Monmouth's Office of Veterans Services provides certification, orientation, and support to returning veterans and military dependents as they adjust to college life. The Student Veterans Association, formed by a group of students and a member of the Student Veterans of America, is very active on campus and promotes understanding and awareness for all veterans attending Monmouth University.
A highlight of Monmouth's military-friendliness is the Military Bridge Program, which allows undergraduate students who do not meet Monmouth's traditional admission requirements to enroll for a transitional semester; students become fully matriculated after earning satisfactory grades. Monmouth is also a proud participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program. This program, a partnership between the Veterans Administration and Monmouth University, enables veterans to attend a private institution. Monmouth University contributes matching funds necessary to supplement the veterans' educational benefits to cover the full cost of tuition and fees.
