MONMOUTH UNIVERSITY GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDENTS RECEIVE AWARDS

Monmouth University’s Department of Art and Design proudly announces that six students recently received awards at the American Graphic Design & Advertising 28th Annual Awards. The following students majoring in Bachelor of Fine Arts in Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design, received awards in the “Best of Category” or “Awards of Distinction” for their entries in this national design competition:

  • Carolyn Walker received a Finalist Best of Category in Advertising (print) award for her National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) advertisement.
  • Olivia Greco received an Award of Distinction for her Cultio Specialty Organic Meat Co. Business Cards.
  • Amanda Stojanov was awarded an Award of Distinction in Advertising (print) for her Unicef advertisement.
  • Joe Curcio received an Award of Distinction in Environmental Graphics & Signage for his Road Signage.
  • Alison Abate’s Photomontage received an Award of Distinction in Photography.
  • Amanda Stojanov also received an Award of Distinction in Photography for her Photomontage.
  • Michael Seminerio’s Photomontage also received an Award of Distinction in Photography.

Founded as American Corporate Identity (ACI) by logo and graphics expert David E. Carter, the competition has become a mainstay in the recognition of branding excellence. Receiving tens of thousands of submissions and representing as many (or more) creatives, AGDA is known as the premier showcase for the best graphic design and advertising in America.

No more than 30% of submitted entries are chosen as winners, and each is titled with an Award of Distinction. AGDA’s Award of Distinction indicates the honored work exceeds industry standard in both concept and execution. The AGDA competition awards a Best of Category trophy for work that the Panel of Judges deems superlative. A maximum of one entry per category receives this distinguished recognition.
