To Activate Your Account or Reset Your Password<\/h3>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"if-you-are-new-to-monmouth-or-forgot-your-password\">If you are new to Monmouth or forgot your password:<\/h4>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"call-the-password-activation-and-reset-line-7329234600-available-247\">Call the Password Activation and Reset line:  732-923-4600 (available 24\/7)<\/h5>\n\n\n<p>     Your username and password is the same for accessing your MU systems, computer labs, and residence halls (M: drive):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>username<\/strong> is a lowercase &#8220;s&#8221; in front of your seven digit Student ID number (s#######)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Example: sxxxxxxx@monmouth.edu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>password<\/strong> is the password received from the Password Activation and Reset line (732-923-4600)\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Password Activation and Reset line will issue you a password consisting of <strong>2 digits, 2 words, and the &#8220;#&#8221; symbol<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Example password <em>(illustrative only<\/em>)<strong>**: 28baseballtwilight# <\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Note:  You must wait five (5) days to change the password you received from the Password Activation and Reset line.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>** <strong>PLEASE NOTE:  <\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>example password<\/strong> above is provided <em>solely as an example of the password<\/em> you will be issued by the Password Activation and Reset line.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When changing your password, <strong><em>always create a unique password<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to all MU systems is through myMU, our Monmouth University portal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/my.monmouth.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/my.monmouth.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>&nbsp; You must have <strong>Multi-Factor Authentication<\/strong> (MFA) in place before you can access your student email and eCampus.&nbsp;After you receive your password, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monmouth.edu\/technology\/support\/mfa\/#setup\">follow these instructions to setup MFA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the myMU portal is unavailable, you can access email, WebAdvisor and eCampus individually:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/office.monmouth.edu\">Access Student Email<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/webadvisor.monmouth.edu\">Access WebAdvisor<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ecampus.monmouth.edu\">Access eCampus<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ii-to-change-your-password\">II. To Change Your Password<\/h3>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-from-your-personal-device\">A.  From Your Personal Device<\/h4>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enter your Monmouth email in the username field (username@monmouth.edu)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your current (old) password<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your proposed new password<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your proposed new password again (to minimize the chance of typing mistakes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>Submit <\/strong>button to submit the change<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>Cancel <\/strong>button to clear the form and start over if necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>          <strong>Note: <\/strong> Neither your current (old) nor your new password will be shown in plain text. Your password will be securely encrypted when transmitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>          <strong>Ready?
