Many areas of the Monmouth University campus, including some outdoor spaces, are covered by wireless access to the University network. Information Management is constantly striving to improve the quality of service and availability of our wireless network. Hard-wired Ethernet connections are also available in all buildings and dorms for greater bandwidth and performance.<\/p>\n

MU-Secure<\/em> utilizes WPA2-Enterprise<\/strong> encryption. Your device MUST<\/strong> support this encryption type in order to connect!<\/p>\n

How To: Connect to MU-Secure on Windows<\/h2>\r\n\t\t
    \r\n\t\t\t
  1. Click the <\/span>Wireless Network<\/span> icon.<\/span><\/li>
  2. Select <\/span>MU-Secure<\/span> and click <\/span>Connect<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
  3. Type your <\/span>Monmouth University username<\/span> (do not include your Domain).<\/span><\/li>
  4. Type your <\/span>Monmouth University password<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
  5. Click <\/span>OK<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
  6. When you get the message, \u201c<\/span>Continue connecting?<\/span>\u201d click <\/span>Connect<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
  7. You are now connected to <\/span>MU-Secure<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
  8. Note: \u00a0These directions are based on a Windows 10 machine.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\r\n\t

    How To: Connect to MU-Secure on a Mac<\/h2>\n\t\t
      \n\t\t\t
    1. Click the <\/span>Wi-Fi<\/span> icon.<\/span><\/li>
    2. Make sure <\/span>Wi-Fi<\/span> is turned <\/span>On<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
    3. Click on <\/span>MU-Secure<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
    4. Type your <\/span>Monmouth University email address as your username<\/span> (leave out the <\/span>hawkdom2<\/span> or <\/span>monmouth0<\/span> domain name).<\/span><\/li>
    5. Type your <\/span>Monmouth University password<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
    6. Click <\/span>Join<\/span>. <\/span><\/li>
    7. You are now connected to the <\/span>MU-Secure Wireless Network<\/span>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\t\n

      How To: Connect to MU-Secure on an Android<\/h2>\n\t\t
        \n\t\t\t
      1. While on your Home Screen, swipe down notification drawer. \u00a0Then swipe down again to get to the <\/span>Quick Settings <\/span>screen.<\/span><\/li>
      2. Select the <\/span>Wi-Fi<\/span> icon.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
      3. Make sure the Wi-Fi toggle is switched to <\/span>On<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
      4. Under <\/span>Wi-Fi networks<\/span>, tap on <\/span>MU-Secure<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
      5. On the <\/span>MU-Secure connection settings <\/span>screen select <\/span>Do not validate<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
      6. The screen should display <\/span>No certificate specified<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
      7. Type your Monmouth University username email address into the <\/span>Identity <\/span>field.<\/span><\/li>
      8. Type your Monmouth University password into the <\/span>Password <\/span>field.<\/span><\/li>
      9. Tap <\/span>Connect <\/span>and you are now connected to the<\/span> MU-Secure <\/span>Wireless Network.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\t

        How To: Connect to MU-Secure on an iOS device (iPad, iPhone, etc)<\/h2>\n\t\t
          \n\t\t\t
        1. Tap the <\/span>Settings<\/span> icon. <\/span><\/li>
        2. Tap on <\/span>Wi-Fi<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
        3. Make sure the <\/span>Wi-Fi Toggle<\/span> is set to <\/span>ON<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
        4. Tap on <\/span>MU-Secure<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
        5. In the <\/span>Enter the password for \u201cMU-Secure\u201d Window<\/span> that appears\u2026<\/span><\/li>
        6. Enter your <\/span>Monmouth University Username<\/span> (<\/span>leave out <\/span>the <\/span>hawkdom2<\/span> or <\/span>monmouth0<\/span> <\/span>domain<\/span>).<\/span><\/li>
        7. Enter your <\/span>Monmouth University Password<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
        8. Tap <\/span>Join<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
        9. In the <\/span>Certificate Window<\/span>, tap <\/span>Trust<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
        10. You are now connected to the <\/span>MU-Secure Wireless Network<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>
        11. Important Note<\/span>: If you change your password, you will need to update it on all your devices manually. <\/span>It will not update automatically<\/span>.<\/span><\/li><\/ol>\n\t\n

          How To: Connect to MU-Secure on Chromebook<\/h2>\n
            \n
          1. Click the Wireless Network icon.<\/li>\n
          2. Select MU-Secure and click Connect.<\/li>\n
          3. Change the security from LEAP to PEAP.<\/li>\n
          4. Change the next box to MS-CHAPv2.<\/li>\n
          5. Select Do not detect or do not validate the certificate.<\/li>\n
          6. Type your Monmouth University username (do not include your Domain).<\/li>\n
          7. Type your Monmouth University password.<\/li>\n
          8. Click OK.<\/li>\n
          9. You are now connected to MU-Secure.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
