  • Everything Parents Need to Know About Fraternity & Sorority Life

    Rechnitz Room 116
    For parents and family members with questions about fraternities and sororities and the status of the community at Monmouth, this session will dispel myths about Greek Life, talk about the benefits of membership, and introduce the new vision for the community.

  • What Do You Need to Know About Academic Support?

    Rechnitz Room 107
    Come and learn about what resources are available to Monmouth students and how easy it is for your student to get the help they need to be academically successful. Accudemia demonstration included in workshop.

  • A Parent’s Guide to Common Mental Health Issues Among College Students

    Rechnitz Room 107
    This workshop is designed to assist parents in identifying common mental health issues that can arise during the college years. Topics include homesickness and loneliness, depression and mood fluctuations, anxiety and stress, relationships, drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders, and signs of suicide.

    Rechnitz Room 116
    Learn about the many activities and events that Monmouth offers. These opportunities will enhance your student’s educational experience, assist them with making friends, and provide your student with the ability to learn valuable leadership skills.

11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring some of your favorite traditional tailgate foods. Students on a meal plan may use their meal card for the luncheon.

  • Adults (including students without a meal plan): $13.25
  • Children 11 and under: $7
  • Students with meal plan: No Charge (one meal swipe which will be taken at the door)

11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Families and friends are welcome to join in a Monmouth football tradition: do-it-yourself tailgating in the parking area adjacent to Kessler Stadium. Monmouth University, in compliance with state law and University regulations, limits the consumption of alcoholic beverages to designated areas. Persons under the age of 21 are prohibited from possessing or consuming alcohol in any area of the campus. Kegs, beer balls, and bottles are not permitted.

Cheer for the back-to-back defending Big South Champion Hawks as they tackle defending Patriot League Champion Holy Cross in the home opener of the 29th season of Monmouth football!

Family Outdoor Movie: Disney’s Soul

Shadow Lawn (Outside The Great Hall)
7:30 p.m.
(Rain location: Pollak Theatre)

Join us for an outdoor showing of the Disney film Soul. Our Student Activities Board (SAB) will be hosting this event. Enjoy the movie along with popcorn, cotton candy, and novelties. This event is free and open to all family members. Bring a beach chair or blanket.

Parking Information

If you are attending the football game, please park in lot 13, 14, or 18, each conveniently located near the playing field. The entrance to these lots is located on Larchwood Avenue, off of Cedar Avenue. Other guests may enter the campus through the Cedar Avenue entrance.
